The Moria refugee camp became a small town where 15,000 refugees (1,100 of them unaccompanied minors) came to live, so it was common to see makeshift stores where they could buy electronics or some food. LESBOS, THE DOOR OF EUROPE

Thousands of refugees, mostly from North Africa, fleeing war, poverty and persecution, are trying to enter Europe, through the Turkish coast crossing by sea to the Greek island of Lesbos. There, they ended up in Moria, a refugee camp where they lived in subhuman conditions. The camp burned down in a fire in 2020, a few months after the publication of this report.
