ABOUT ME

Photographer and journalist. Most of my professional life has been linked to the newspaper El País, which is the largest Spanish-language, where I have been working for 15 years as a photographer, and from 2019 to 2022 as deputy head of the photography section. For 6 years I have been a professor of photojournalism in the Master of Journalism at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid - El País; where I have also taught editorial portrait workshops, one of my great passions. I have also made commissioned portraits for private institutions, ministries and political parties; making official portraits and posters for election campaigns. 
For the newspaper El País I have covered all kinds of information such as the refugee crisis in Europe at the Greek island of Lesbos, wildfires in Spain, Portugal and Greece, or the armed conflicts in Libya or recently the Donbas in Ukraine. 

I currently collaborate, both as a photographer and editor, with the newspaper El País from the San Francisco Bay Area.
